Talk about a time when you had to write a poem, whether it was for an assignment, event, or special occasion. What was the writing process like for you, and were you proud of the finished product?

Prompt Response: A time I had to write a poem was when I was doing a haiku writing project for my english class. For this project we had to write a haikyu and create an artwork inspired by nature to go along with the poem. Writing the haiku was very fun because it forces you to use words that you normally would not use in order to meet the syllable requirements. Overall I was very proud of my finished product because it both looked and sounded very beautiful. This project made me realise how much I enjoy poetry, and creative writing as a whole.

Summary: Today in class we took notes on how to create an effective poem

Reflection: I can use what I learned in class ti better learn how to structure poems, and help my writing feel more alive and creative. This can make me an overall more engaging writer to listen too.
